I love Facebook!

Have you been to Friendster lately? I guess not. I got this feeling that just like me you are now hooked to Facebook. And just like me you do not care about the photos or activities that your friends are posting in FB.

So what do you care about in FB? Let me guess, you want more friends in your list so you can add them as your neighbors in FarmTown and Farmville. Or you can hire them as your crew in Yoville to earn more points while working in the Widget Factory. Or to have more mafias to send you energy packs to win more wars. Well, we have our different reasons, I just want my friends to work in my Cuisina in Restaurant City.

Another reason why I like Facebook lately is that it has been connecting me to my friends. I have them in my crew working for me in Yoville. They send me energy packs in Mafia Wars. They tend to my farm in FarmTown and FarmVille when I am not online. They kiss or make Tot laugh when my pet is lonely. They dine at my Cuisina in Restaurant City.

There are so many things to do in Facebook. So many that you often lost track of time and you realize you have been spending too much in front of your PC.

Thank you, Gng. Aquino

from www.pcij.org

My memory of her began when I was in grade school. I had little knowledge of her. Only I knew about her was that she was the wife of a former senator who was killed in an airport. She was from Tarlac. Then few years more, she was proclaimed as the first woman to lead the Philippines as the former leader was ousted from Malacanang. But, how can a woman millions of Filipino people? She did it – with God’s intervention. That I am sure of. Imagine how many coup d’etat did her government experience. There were power outage too. But she survived all of those.

But the ultimate thing she did for the Filipino people was to bring back the democracy that for awhile was controlled by only a few.

Thank you, Mrs. Aquino. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Please continue to be a mother to all of us.

back to work

I have been reporting to work since last Tuesday, July 21. Well it was a day before my operation’s first monthsary. I know I needed to rest for a month, but I hope that one day won’t make any difference at all. I feel okay now aside from the little pain in the wound area from time to time.

So how was my first day? Well, it was my first time to see our new office. Good thing, all our things have been arranged in the closets. Well, they didn’t bring our old closet to the new office. We have several built-in cabinets. I think we need to revisit the things there. I feel there are more that need to be disposed. I have met the new member of our office.

I love the new office though it looks too academic. My initial comment was that it looks like an accounting firm of not a classroom that we need to arrange our tables in a single line. One more thing, walking from my desk to the table which holds the phone is really tiring. There was a suggestion to request for an extension to be put on my table. I hope this can be done soon.

Three IDs applied, Three more to go!

I am taking advantage of the one-month break I have due to my operation. I have been trying to fix government papers and IDs I am needing. I applied for the replacement of my SSS ID, issuance of my Civil Service Certificate of Eligibility, and registration of my PRC license – all in one day. I have scheduled another day within this week  to go to BIR for  my ID, to Comelec for my voter’s ID, and to Pag-Ibig to merge my two accounts and to apply for individual paying membership.

It was my first time to go to SSS Main Office in East Avenue, Quezon City. The Members’ Assistance Center houses different sections, windows, and counters to serve SSS members. We arrived a little past 8 in the morning, but yet the center was filled already with thousand of people. I was glad my eldest sister was with me to assist me. I still find difficult to walk due to my wound.

There were different windows or counters to go to before I was given a time for my ID capture schedule. I went first to Counter 39 to have my papers counterchecked and to get a Window Number. I was Number 207 and the number being called was NUmber 157. So we sat down for awhile. My turn was called. My membership was verified. Then I was adviced to go to Counter 39 again to get my ID capture schedule. I was scheduled for 1-2 pm and it was only 1030am.

My sister and I deciced to go to Civil Service Commission office in Kaliraya first to apply for issuance of my Certificate of Eligibility. I lost my original certificate two years ago. The application took us less than an hour. The release would be seven working days after the application.
